Just to recap, we must continue to include in our prayer the Target for the previous months until a breakthrough is achieved. This is strategic warfare prayer in which we have a specific target in the spirit toward which we will direct our prayers. We are continuing this month to target nations hostile toward Christians, especially nations in which the Bible is restricted or illegal. For the month of July, we are targeting two countries where Christians are being persecuted...
STRATEGIC - TARGETED PRAYER
Ephesians 6:12: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Job 22:27-28: 27 "Thou shalt make thy prayer unto Him, and He shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thou vows. 28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways."
This month we are targeting two countries. I felt impressed that these two countries are in need of prayer for pastors, ministries and all Christians in these areas where many Christian Churches and Christians in general have come under attack and have been brutally beaten and killed by Muslims for their belief in Jesus Christ. The two countries are Pakistan and Nigeria. As we continue to pray for each target from January to June, adding this month's target, please pray that Christians in these countries will be encouraged in the Lord. Build a hedge of protection around them keeping them safe from all hurt, harm and danger. Pray that they will be a light and that their persecutors will find life through Jesus Christ and be translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God. Pray especially for pastors and other ministers and their families as this is the first line of defense which comes under attack. Continue to pray for a move of the Holy Spirit over these nations. We Christians in the western world have no real idea what it is to live under constant persecution and threat of death and I pray we never have to. When you talk about giving up your life for Christ, in many areas of the world this is literal! We are so fortunate that, at least for now, we in the west have freedom of worship. I thank God for His mercy, grace, loving kindness, for the Word, for the Holy Spirit and for the Blood of Jesus.

On Sunday, November 14, 2010, we enter the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church around the world. Your prayers can set captives free and inspire persecuted Christians with courage to stay in the fight. This year we pray for the freedom that no one can steal, the freedom to believe.

Some days I just sit back in amazement at the direction this world is going in, especially the United States. But then, why should I be surprised? The Word of God tells us what it will be like in the end times. Men being lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God, people marrying and giving in marriage, people so caught up on themselves and what is going on in their little self-centered universe that they have no concept of what is happening in the heavenlies. No idea about the spiritual warfare that is taking place between good and evil and how their complacency is actually feeding the evil. Wow! What is going on in the world today? This is a question I have heard asked time and time again over the past few months. Another statement I have heard is how time seems to be moving so fast this year. There is much happening in the world, most of which is not good. It seems as though creation is crying out for the sons of God to be revealed. So little time and so very much to pray for.
